Raena grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and has lived temporarily in St. Thomas, USVI and San Francisco, CA. She received her associates degree from Utah Valley University in Exercise Science and is currently studying Parks, Recreation and Tourism at the University of Utah. Growing up, she played volleyball and basketball through Jr. high and High School then fell in love with outdoor sports once she started college. She now enjoys backpacking, snowboarding, climbing and road biking anytime she gets a chance. During her last couple years at the University of Utah she received her Padi scuba certification, American Sailing Association 1 certification and her Avalanche 1 certification and is planning on getting her Wilderness First Responder this semester. She recently decided to emphasis in rock climbing so she began interning with OCO in November as an instructor. She has taken two rock rescue classes and one lead climbing class and hopes to continue her education so she can start guiding climbing trips!
