University of Utah - BS Anthropology and Sociology

Ariana grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she still resides. She has always had a deep love affair with the mountains, words, art, and rain. When she has breaks in her school and work schedules, Ariana pursues yoga and hikes up Utah’s canyons—they are the two activities that center her most. Nowhere does she feel more at home than when she is able to haul her mat up a mountain and give some sun salutes to a climbing, early morning sun. Ariana joined OCO after her best friend Samantha Weed (fellow editor) introduced her to Dan Warner, OCO’s director. As the daughter of an Airforce veteran, and a proponent of the healing power of focused physical and mental activity, Ariana is passionate about helping OCO achieve its’ goals. Ariana previously served as an editor of a nationally awarded publication, and also worked as the editor-in-chief of a literary magazine in high school. Further, many of her skills have been honed through ongoing education at the University of Utah. She is currently earning a double major in Anthropology and Sociology, with emphasis on human social networks.
